Pendle View on Fire......

I took over from Nevs on PV and joined Big Foot on peg 64, I fished the same bait and in the same zones as where the fish had been coming out, Nevs ended the session with 5 fish, within 6 hours I had caught 2 smaller residents, a 14 and a little common..... Nothing then over night.....

At around 1 pm the next day I had another small Mirror carp, while this was on the bank the right hand rod started to beep, I picked it up and declared, "bream"!

Obviously I was wrong and after a short fight a new pb of 26lb rolled into the net,

In total between Bigfoot, Nevs and myself we saw 11 carp come out on the same bait (Fish Hunters Pel'Vita Mix) from basically the same spots, also, in the time we fished, other anglers enjoyed good action around the lake......

Good result!

Maximum Respect is Due

Respect to Nevs who has broken the dreaded blank and blessed his net with a 36lb 8oz Common from Pendle View, It was a long time coming but the effort has paid off, BIG TIME!

Little Fish Hunter Jamie, his first carp on carp tackle

Jamie went fishing to Bannister farm and fished for carp "properly" with help from Danny, he insisted on a close in spot and went round to throw in some bait, within 10 minutes he had landed his first ever carp on carp tackle with very little help, he complained about a sore arm though....

Pendle View -

We watched the new carp go in the lake on Tuesday 22nd July, every fish was fighting fit, Dave rang to say a lot had been caught by Thursday of the same week so I set about fishing there Friday night...

On arival the lake was quite full, the only option was peg 89, this looked good because the wind was blowing in that direction..... 15 minutes after setting up the wind changed .....(as per usual) and the sky darkened with thunder clouds, you could feel the pressure drop as the rain came.....

At 10:30 the right rod ripped, this was a boilie fished with a stringer around 35 yards out towards the holiday lodges, the rain was pouring during the fight which was powerul and quite worrying because visibility was poor and the heavy rain made concentration difficult, eventually the fish hit the net, a nice Mirror of 24lb, at first I thought it was a new stockie but I have looked back on the pics to confirm .....

View to a carp part 2

I joined Big Foot on Pendle at T time on Saturday for a quick session to test out some of our new groundbaits and stick mixes, Big Foot had already had five fish so things looked good until the wind changed and the cloud vanished, we thought the day would yeild results and set our traps accordingly.... 16 bream later and the middle rod finally went, this rod was Tutti Fruity pop up over a pva bag containing one of our new baits and some hemp seed!

This 16lb Ghost carp was the result, it appeared that this was the only fish out in the 24 I was there, good result....

Not been out for a while

Just leaving a blog to say we have not casted out for a while, the river is up a lot because of the rain and work and other commitments have left us grounded, the fishing world is moving on though and our m8's are reporting good captures, legend has it that Horns Dam has been producing good fish with rumours of a 30 which is very good.... As always we are working on new ideas and are now offering coaching sessions to anyone who would like to get stuck into a life of Fish! (Its not that bad we promise)

WE must say well done to Cottie for his capture of one of the Gladiators on Wyre Lake (pic is on our m8's page) and to everyone else who is catching....

Good news about Pendle View, they are getting 32 new fish to go at also DAve just called me now to say a bloke has been on and had 7 Fish since yesterday the biggest 32lb so Places are fishing well.....

Tight lines and watch out for the next blog which hopefully will have some pics of our latest captures.....

2 Carp, 2 Barbel & an EEL

Big Foot & Danny visited the River, the fishing was in Big Foot's favour with 2 Carp & 2 Barbel falling to his simple yet deadly running rig arrangment... Danny (cheerfully ) had an eel and nothing else but liners, the pair fished only twenty yards apart using virtually the same tactics.... Goes to show what a diference a few yards makes......

On the River With B-I-G

The Barbel are feeding in certain parts of the River Ribble, and so are the Bream, action however is slower than normal possibly due to the changing weather conditions, ideally the weather needs to make its mind up and do one thing for a few days,.... We will keep on at it though..... Check out this nice specimen caught by Big Foot in an after work session last Tuesday!

Back to the River

Visited the Ribble for first time in ages, was bivvi city from london road to church deeps so we walked up a bit further. After the wind changed had two barbel and a huge bream, see the fish, shown off by Jamie.... (There is no pic of the Bream because the other rod went & had to put it back!) some good action just before dark was only there from 6pm - 9 ish however nothing big, spoke to a few anglers they said "some guy had caught one this morning", or something......

River looking good! game on!
